Hi Everyone,
I am glad to write my 2018 year update on DEHA (Dreamers Education Help Assistance) initiative on behalf of Sharma Family trust.
Conforming to traditions, many students brought accolades to our beloved school in both educational and extra-curricular activities throughout year 2018. I would like to congratulate all the students who have worked hard throughout the year. As promised, DEHA initiative did its little part. The initiative focused on following major commitments in year 2018.
Provide scholarship to students from nursery to 10+2 grades. Most eligible students benefited from the scholarship program throughout the year.
In collaboration with principal’s office, ensure free education for preschool students by employing full time teacher and a full time assistance.
In collaboration with principal’s office, ensure availability of math teacher for high school students throughout year 2018
In collaboration with principal’s office, employ a sanitation worker to ensure a clear environment to the students and teachers.
This is good start and we need to continue to improve. We think there are a few immediate areas for improvement to make things a bit more effective and seamless. Initially we would like to focus on following areas in 2019:
Find a better way to fund sports related assistance to the school
Establish better communication with community, students and teachers to ensure that focus of DEHA initiative remains in right direction and deserving students are not left behind
Broaden the scope to encourage students to shine in educational and sports activities at state level
We realize that we need active participation from the community on some of logistical aspects such as:
Spreading the word so that students are aware of benefits
Identify any deserving student who may have been left behind because of the rules that we have established for the scholarship program
Facilitate periodic communication with students
Identify innovative ways to deliver additional benefits or services to students
We will truly appreciate anyone’s help. If you have time and Please contact us at sharmafamilytrust@gmail.com or directly with principal’s office.
I am looking forward many more years of success and our students bringing even greater recognitions at board and state levels.
Please write directly to me at sharmafamilytrust@gmail.com for any valuable suggestions. All the details about the roaster and funding can be found at (https://desilog.wixsite.com/deha).
Best Regards,
Ramesh Sharma, for Sharma Family Trust
